John Poggetti founded Electric alongside Ron and his older brother Bernie in 1978. John was pivotal in growing the business as he used his relationships with clients to get a foothold in many of the buildings in Downtown San Francisco that Capitol Electric still works in today. John retired in the early 2000s and still lives locally in San Francisco. He often stops by the shop to say hello, drop off some cigars, and have a laugh with many of the old faces he knew when he was working alongside the new faces that he’s never met.
